DWI Just Doesn't Pay

I was just watching my local news. Seems as though Johnny LeClair has been picked up for DWI. This is his second offense. He was last picked up in 1990. That charge was reduced to careless and negligent driving to which he pled no contest. He is due in court on Nov 13th. I hope the coppers don't see this picture of Johnny golfing....

Back from vacation

The boys have been on an extended break as of late. It is funny how it seemed to coincide with ny school work. I know that Johnny was out doing something last weekend. He had the camera with him. He made Ray Bourque and Joe Thornton stay home. So far this is the only picture that he has released for publication. From what I can gather he was out in the wilds of Vermont and came across this kitty with stripes.....
One other rather strange thing he said upon his return was, "Do you know how to get tomato juice out of my hockey uniform?"

I was standing outside watching the boys for several minutes doing something while they were in and on the canoe. Joe and Ray were paddlin' like crazy while Johnny was yelling "Stroke...Stroke...." Finally I had to ask what the heck was going on. I expected Johnny to speak right up but no it was Joe. The usually quiet, reserved Joe spoke up first.

"Johnny claims this is dry land training," he said.

Pumping Iron

The Boys were hanging out by the pool this afternoon. They were doing their usual version of pumping iron. As you can see Johnny is working hard. The Boys were quite surprised to see Homer hanging out by the pool. They invited him to lift some weights with them but he said he was doing some good doughnut curls on his own.

Homer was very encouraging to the Boys as they continued their workout. He did not however offer any food or drink to the Boys. The Boys knew that since he was not a bobblehead, Homer wouldn't know he should have offered to get everyone drinks at the bar.

A Surprise In The Garden

As we, that would be Johnny, Ray, Joe, and of course, myself, were walking around the garden today we happened upon these
plants that at first glance appeared to be "regular" broccoli plants. Upon closer inspection we determined that Ray had come upon his birth ground. There were Ray heads everywhere.

We were amazed at how well that Miracle Gro must have worked. But then Joe reminded us of what the beermaker had posted about being on the juice....

As we continued to walk we came upon the area where the peas, beets, and carrots were growing. "Holy Crap!", Joe yelled. "Look at what is growing with the carrots." Sure enough it was not your "regular" root crop growing in front of us.

TUMWATER, Wash. - Talk about a blunder. A bomb technician discovered that a suspicious package that forced more than 300 workers to evacuate a state building contained a bobblehead doll awarded to public officials for perceived errors.

The package, sent by an intern at KOMO-TV in Seattle, was addressed to Department of Corrections Secretary Harold Clarke at the department's headquarters in this town near Olympia.

It didn't have a return address and the mailing label was handwritten. It also had stains on the outside, which could have indicated that the item inside had leaked, said Washington State Patrol Sgt. Ted DeHart.

"It had the classic indicators of a suspicious package," DeHart said.

The building's 350 employees were evacuated for about 45 minutes Friday after the package was found in the mailroom.

A bomb technician from the State Patrol who opened the box found a "Schrammie," which television commentator Ken Schram hands out to public officials he thinks have done wrong.

"To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that the bomb squad was called in when we sent a `Schrammie,'" said Jimm Brown, a KOMO spokesman.

Brown said Schram sent the doll to Clarke because he was upset about the announcement earlier this year that the state had released 83 felons from jails early.

"I'm going to have to wind up giving myself a `Schrammie,' for crying out loud," Schram said.

Johnny says, "Hey, I know that guy."
